Teething-

Teething problems often begin with the eruption of the first teeth at 5-7 months of age and may continue through the eruption of the first molars at age 2-3 years. Most babies and young children will experience some discomfort as the teeth erupt (grow through the gums). Other symptoms accompanying tooth eruption can include irritability, nasal discharge, drooling, digestive upset including diarrhea, fever and sleeplessness. Some babies experience minor discomfort, others will be very uncomfortable and cry uncontrollably.

It is helpful to make sure the digestive system is functioning well. In babies avoid overfeeding and give additional water to the bottle fed infant. In older babies and young children avoid rich foods that are high in fat and also hard to digest foods like raw vegetables and whole grains just before and during the time teeth cut through.

Homeopathic teething tablets are very helpful for all children during teething. These tablets are a combination of several homeopathic remedies in a quick dissolving small tablet. They can be given every 30 minutes until the discomfort subsides.
