Naturopathic Physician |
"My committment is to truth, not to consistency."
Mahatma Gandhi
Eclectic Physician describes me and my work well. My training is as
a naturopathic physician and a practical nurse. I use the best of the healing
arts and the medical sciences for each individual I work with. I love working
with people and plants, and that may explain how I came to be trained as
a naturopathic physician. In practice, I choose from a variety of modalities
that may range from surgery to massage, pharmaceutical drugs to herbs,
psychotherapy to meditation. Often a combination of alternative and conventional
therapies works best to support healing. By using whatever seems most appropriate,
I can best serve each individual. Eclectic also describes my personal viewpoint.
My life is like a patchwork quilt- pieces from a ever growing variety of
experiences, each a bit of what serves and teaches me.
I was born on Easter Sunday (and my mother's birthday), 1957 in Yakima,
Washington. I grew up in Cortez, Colorado, where I met my husband Dan.
We were married in 1975 and have three children, ages 23, 16 and 11. The
youngest two were born at home here in Oregon, where we have lived since
1979. I enjoy pottery, cooking, snorkeling, downhill skiing, hiking, playing
flute and piano, surfing the net, and appreciating my family, my friends
and life.
