Raspberry leaf tea.

Q.

How do you make red raspberry leaf tea from live plants? Do I just use the leaves? Do I need to dry them?

A.

You can harvest your own red raspberry leaves, just make sure the plants have not been sprayed or treated with any pesticides, herbicides or other chemicals. The leaves are best picked just as the plant begins to flower, then carefully dry them in the shade until they are thoroughly dry. You can store them in a glass jar or other airtight container.

To make a tea from raspberry leaves or other herbs, use about 1-2 teaspoons per cup. Crush the leaves and pour a cup of boiling water over them, steep for about 10 minutes and strain. You can add a little honey for taste, with raspberry leaves try a honey from berry flowers.

Raspberry leaf tea is an excellent women's tonic which helps to balance hormones and tones the uterus, it tastes good and is very safe even in pregnancy.
